Airimp-Pro is
an automatic engine that communicates via the SITA (or ARINC) network with
travel agents to make interline reservations.
The engine
uses standard Type B Messaging as a communication medium, and operates
independently and automatically.All the
functionality runs free human interaction, with replies being sent via the SITA
network and e-mail in real time.
This engine is
located at the Computerized Reservations Systems Supplier (CRSs) and check
telexes send by the agent every second.
For Airimp-Pro to operate, it needs to be integrated with the CRS, in
order to check availability and insert bookings, where applicable.
If Airimp-Pro is deployed with the Airline
Control Systems ‘PerformOps Suite 2006’, then no additional integration is
required.
The engine
reads an encoded message/telex from the inbox directory from the CRSs server;
decodes the message to a readable format; checks flight availability; places a
booking and sends an encoded message reflecting success or failure, using IATA
booking codes back to relevant agent and inventory airlines.
This entire process
takes less than 15 seconds for the agent to get a reply.
Agents are able do the following on a single booking.
[if !supportLists]>·
[endif]>Place
a booking
[if !supportLists]>·
[endif]>Cancel

[if !supportLists]>·
[endif]>Cancel

[if !supportLists]>·

All the
functionality is enabled by means of a series of messages which are communicated
between the agent and this engine.
Airlines are
able to print booking confirmation, invoices and orders generated by this
application, from the Airline Control Systems ‘PerformOps Suite 2006’,
alternatively, from the CRS’s internal tools.
‘PerformOps Suite 2006’ Airimp-Pro
deployment
Airimp-Pro shares
the same database with the online booking system and the desktop application
that is remotely accessible from the airline site. This application produces bookings
in the same format, database and reporting structure, as any of the other
PerformOps points of sale.This means
that all reporting and documentation is exactly the same, and all bookings
appear as if they where made from a single point of sale.
