Application
This module enables effective management of airport aprons, to ensure minimum aircraft turn-around times.
Functionality
This module uses external and remote environments (the airport Aprons) to update critical operational database tables. The absence of timely data then alerts the Ops Control Centre of such discrepancies, to enable prudent management of the Apron.
Modern GSM technology is used to remotely record apron movements and write the data to standard PerformOps tables. The remote recording device can be a PDA (Personal Data Assistant) or more robust and easy to use GSM 'aware' pen.
This module is yet to be completed and tested. (Projected availability December 2006)
